Sculpture Project

Established in 2018, the Fenelon Arts Committee (FAC) identifies opportunities for artists, strategizes on arts initiatives, and works to increase public access and engagement with art in the village. In 2019, their Sculpture Project was launched inviting artists to design and install work on large limestone bases in the newly constructed Rain Garden, located on the south side of Maryboro Lodge: The Fenelon Museum. With the help of a local jury, two finalists were selected; James C. Smith's work, Portage, and Susan Rankin's River Grove. The two sculptures speak to the rich history of this area; a First Nations gathering place, community building, logging, forestry, and its current use as a park. The FAC is currently fundraising for this exciting project and we need your help! We would like to thank everyone for their continued enthusiasm and support.

Theater Project

In 2020, Kawartha Works and Intrepid Theatre are to construct Fenelon Falls’ first theatre, providing a new space for a summer theatre experience. Intrepid Theatre has a rich history of award-winning theatre, and will present high quality productions, gathering audiences into a cozy outdoor amphitheatre built into the natural habitat of a grove of trees at the Fenelon Falls Fairgrounds. With 450 seating capacity, this venue will attract residents and visitors alike to experience live theatre in this welcoming community for years to come. Fundraising to cover costs of developing the first theatre production for 2021 and complete facility construction are currently underway, and your giving is much appreciated. We thank everyone for their continued enthusiasm and support.
